Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data 50 Tickets collects when you buy tickets for the events we promote, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
Who we are
50 Tickets is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Our registered company details are published on our contact page — write to us there with any privacy question.
What we collect
When you buy a ticket we collect the full name and email address you provide at checkout. Your payment card details are entered directly on our payment provider's secure checkout page — we never see or store your card number. If you join our mailing list, or give an event promoter your address agreeing to hear from us, we keep that email address (and your name, if given) to send you event news.
Why we collect it
We use your name and email to issue your digital ticket (with entry QR code), generate the VAT-compliant invoice required under Luxembourg tax law, and respond if you contact us for support. We also email past buyers and mailing-list contacts about upcoming events similar to ones they attended (see Event news by email below).
Event news by email
We email past buyers about upcoming events similar to the ones they booked, relying on our legitimate interest in promoting similar events to our own customers (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); mailing-list contacts receive them on the basis of their consent. Every one of these emails has a one-click unsubscribe link, and once you unsubscribe we never send you event news again. To measure a campaign we record whether you clicked its ticket link and whether you then bought a ticket for that event. We do not track whether you opened the email.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are retained for the period required by the Luxembourg Administration de l'Enregistrement, des Domaines et de la TVA (AED). Mailing-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe; after that we keep only your address and the date you unsubscribed, so that we never email you again.
Who we share it with
We share order data only with the processors needed to run the service: our payment provider for payment processing, our email delivery provider to send our emails, and our hosting provider for secure storage. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us through our contact page. You can object to event news at any time with the unsubscribe link in every one of those emails.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the current version always applies and the date above reflects the last revision.
